The SIG Education is happy to announce that the first consolidated collection on Law Enforcement and Public Health is in press, and should be published by late October 2021. Further details can be found here. The Collection is edited by Dr Bartkowiak-Théron, James Clover, and Professors Denise Martin, Richard Southby and Nick Croft. It features both academic contributions, as well as contributions from practitioners and community members.
At the conference, the inaugural student paper award was offered to Mario Morales, from the University of Arizona, for his work on needle stick injuries among law enforcement officers in Tijuana. The award acknowledges work that has clear implications for advancing the field of LEPH – e.g. theory, methods, practical innovation, translational work.
Dr Inga Heyman is currently acting co-chair of the SIG Education, whilst Dr Yasmeen Krameddine is on maternity leave.
