GLEPHA’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are member-driven communities focused on specific topics at the intersection of law enforcement and public health. Each SIG connects practitioners, researchers and policy professionals from around the world to share knowledge, build evidence and advance practice.
We currently have 13 active SIGs. GLEPHA members are welcome to join one or more.

Forming a new SIG
Have an idea for a new SIG? Below are steps regarding how you can go from idea to the formation of your working group.
Proposals need not be longer than 1-2 pages, and should cover these areas:
- Step 1: Identify the area of focus for your group
- Step 2: Outline the main objectives
- Step 3: Demonstrate the level of interest in the area by including details of prospective members
- Step 4: Outline some of the roles and responsibilities of members
- Step 5: Write briefly about projected time frame, for example, what you hope to accomplish within the first year. This is just to provide some idea of the group’s aspirations
- Step 6: Outline how the group will share and disseminate information about activities and outputs
- Step 7: Submit to the GLEPHA Secretary for consideration and comments by the Board at: info@glepha.com
