We’re delighted to share that the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) has officially endorsed GLEPHA’s policy statement “Engaging Police and the Public Health Sector to Collaborate for the Public Good.”
This endorsement reflects growing global recognition that many of the challenges faced by police are, at their core, public health issues. By bringing health and policing sectors together, this policy advocates for more humane, prevention-focused responses that improve community wellbeing and reduce reliance on punitive systems.
