Dr. Damian Chinedu Nzeh is a public health physician, top security personnel and tobacco control champion with extensive experience at the intersection of law enforcement and public health. He is a member of the Law Enforcement Committee on tobacco control in Nigeria and has led numerous community-based initiatives focused on health promotion, tobacco control, and substance use prevention.
Dr. Nzeh is a member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP Nigeria), and coordinates its activities in Abuja.
He is a regular participant in regional and global health forums, and has presented on tobacco control implementation in recreational spaces in Nigeria. He promotes cross-sector collaboration, among law enforcement personnel and beyond, towards advancing tobacco control policies and cessation support.
His professional interests include tobacco cessation programming in uniformed services, strengthening smoke-free environments, and advancing evidence-based public health interventions. He holds degrees in medicine, environmental toxicology and clinical research. He is committed to leveraging law enforcement networks for healthier communities.
