Sergio Maulen is an infectious disease physician from Argentina. I was director of the National AIDS Program, I created the HIV Program in the Ministry of Security and I was part of COPRECOS, the Latin American network of Security Forces for HIV prevention. At that time I joined LEAHN and then GLEPHA. I have worked for many years in civil society organizations, in different UN agencies, and I consider myself an activist for sexual and reproductive rights. I can bring to the GLEPHA board my experience in HIV and key populations in Latin America, my knowledge of regional networks and relevant actors from the state, civil society and UN Agencies.
